Co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders are prevalent and commonly encountered across a wide range of treatment settings. People with co-occurring disorders often present with complex issues which require integrated care. This workshop provides an overview of the etiology, prevalence, and barriers to care including stigma, and highlights multicultural considerations related to co-occurring disorders.
