Maximizing ACT and FACT Service Array for Program Effectiveness
Overview
Assertive community treatment (ACT) and forensic assertive community treatment (FACT) teams serve as “one-stop treatment shops” that provide a comprehensive array of clinical and supportive services to clients with significant behavioral health concerns and high service needs. Offering a complete array of services within the ACT or FACT team, rather than referring clients to external providers, is critical to ACT and FACT’s effectiveness at increasing clinical stability and promoting community functioning among high-needs clients. This training will introduce the range of services offered by high-fidelity ACT and FACT teams. Participants will learn how embedding evidence-based practices within ACT and FACT can improve clients’ recovery outcomes. The training will also highlight how transdisciplinary, team-based care enables ACT and FACT teams to effectively provide a complete array of services. Participants will learn coordination practices that can support teams in delivering a high-fidelity ACT or FACT service array.
